you can help!
Looking for some easy ways to support The Museum School? Consider these:
Donate auction items. Have talent? Do you knit or build your own furniture? Can you offer a special service, such as consulting or catering? Consider donating items to our annual "Night at the Museum" silent and live auction, which raises much-needed funds to support the school. Last year's auction raised more than $40,000 through the sale of vacation getaways, golf outings, autographed memorabilia, artwork, crafts, gift cards and much more.
Donate at Finders Keepers. Got clothes, furniture or home décor items crowding the attic? The Museum School has an account with Finders Keepers Fashions, Finders Keepers Furnishings and Finders Keepers Boutique. Donate items in good condition, including men's and women's clothing, shoes, purses and other accessories, and furniture and home decor items. Ask that they be listed under the "Avondale Estates Charter School" account. When the items sell, 45% of the proceeds from clothing and 50% of the proceeds from furniture will benefit the school.
Help while you shop. Programs through national retailers bring additional funds to the school.
- Join Target®'s Take Charge of Education® program, and everytime you use your Target® Visa® or Target® Card, The Museum School receives up to 1% of the purchase price. Getting a Target card is easy: Apply at a store or visit Target's REDcard page. Then sign up for the Take Charge of Education program online or at an in-store kiosk or call (800) 316-6142. Designate The Museum School (ID #151793) as the recipient of your funds. Learn more at www.target.com/tcoe.
- Publix. Just pick up a Publix Partners card from the school or at Avondale Estates City Hall. Ask the cashier to scan it each time you shop, and Publix will donate a portion of the sales price to our school.
- Box Tops for Education. Collecting Box Tops is an easy way to help the school raise money, and it's a great activity for kids! Look for Box Tops on products that you use every day. Clip them out and drop them off: Collection boxes are posted inside the school and at Avondale Estates City Hall. Or, mail Box Tops to the school office at 3191 Covington Road, Avondale Estates, GA 30002. To learn more, log on to www.btfe.com.
